That's after you have purchased one or two of Rick's unique kauri pieces from the Gallery! Accommodation is available close by - Bed and Breakfast, motel, hotel, RV park etc. We offer a free booking service for local accommodation. See the DVD playing in the gallery - this shows how we get our wood from the swamplands. DVD for sale There is a Dairy and Fast Foods takeaway next door to the Gallery so you can have a meal or drink. We have parking right outside our Gallery. Sue can also advise travelers on places to visit, where to stay, traveling distances to the Bay of Islands and further north or south. She can book your accommodation or tours around Dargaville down Ripiro Beach to the Pouto Lighthouse, by 4WD drive trip or Big Foot Bus. We can also prebook Dolphin tours and fishing trips in the Bay of Islands (Sue's sister has accommodation to let in Paihia - good rates if you tell her you know us - see the links page) It's the "one stop shop". She was a Travel Agent for quite a few years and is now operating the Kauri Info Centre in conjunction with The Woodturners Kauri Gallery and Studio. So she is kept very busy. In between times she can be seen cutting sandpaper for Rick, making pen or wrapping bowls to send overseas or even moving the lawn! ye right says Rick the photo shows her fishing (do you want her job?) All jokes aside, Sue is a hard worker and does a great job and will look after you as a visitor to our gallery.
