Ricks profile

Rick Taylor has turned wood for the last 30 years and is one of New Zealand's better known woodturners.

He has formed woodturning groups and clubs to help new comers to woodturning and to enjoy the art of woodturning.

He has demonstrated his woodturning skills in London, Canada, Australia and throughout New Zealand.

Rick now has his own woodturning gallery/studio which is open to the public.

He offers woodturning tuition, advice on turning tools and accessories, and can even sell you a piece of his turned work or a piece of kauri wood. He works mainly with the famous New Zealand ancient swamp kauri which is believed to be the oldest workable wood in the world - some of this kauri has been radio-carbon dated at up to 50,000 years buried.

Rick is available for club demonstrations, workshops and seminars both here in New Zealand and overseas. Get your club to run a workshop/seminar and have Rick show you his "new wave" woodturning ways!  You wont be disappointed.

Learn the easy way to turn and get more enjoyment out of your woodturning.
